Citizens in Action (CiACT) was initiated on the 5th of August when the state had an urgent crisis, in absence of law an order. We combine with our community to work towards projects like neighbourhood patrolling, animal rescue & welfare, cleaning our neighbourhood , rethink community’s area of improvements, combat crisis like natural calamities or national issues (without being political) We are an online community as of now but taking steps to get registered.
Citizens in Action (CiACT) is driven by a long term commitment to selflessness, operating without personal or political agendas. Our belief system is inclined towards “collaborative effort”. We want to promote kindness, empathy and humanity while actively opposing classism and any sort of discrimination Citizens in Action does not operate as an NGO as we will try to incorporate streams of business which would eventually help our communities.
We are not an NGO. We are an online volunteering community soon to be registered as a business enterprise. Some of our works have been totally non profit through the trust we have built from our loved ones has enabled us to collect donations on small scale to run some progames to collaborating our communities.
CiACT collaborates with a wide range of organizations, including NGOs, government bodies, and private entities, to enhance the impact of its community initiatives. By establishing strategic partnerships, CiACT is able to extend its reach and leverage resources effectively, particularly during crisis responses, such as flood relief efforts. The collaboration process involves identifying aligned partners, clearly defining roles, and maintaining continuous communication to ensure smooth operation. Through successful collaborations, CiACT has been able to mobilize resources, implement projects at scale, and achieve significant positive outcomes for the communities it serves.
CiACT is committed to maintaining high ethical standards through a well-defined code of conduct, strict conflict of interest policies, and a strong focus on accountability and transparency. All members undergo regular training to reinforce ethical behavior, and an Ethical Review Committee ensures that any breaches are promptly addressed. CiACT also emphasizes the importance of transparency, with regular audits and public disclosures to maintain trust within the community. By upholding these standards, CiACT ensures that all its activities are carried out with integrity, fairness, and a commitment to the greater good.
CiACT deeply values its volunteers and demonstrates this through a range of recognition programs, including Volunteer of the Month awards and public acknowledgment of contributions. In addition to formal recognition, CiACT offers opportunities for training, skill development, and leadership roles, ensuring volunteers can grow personally and professionally. Regular social events and feedback sessions help to foster a strong sense of community and ensure that volunteers feel appreciated and engaged. By prioritizing volunteer appreciation, CiACT builds a motivated and dedicated team, crucial to the success of its initiatives.
CiACT measures success through both quantitative and qualitative metrics, focusing on the impact of its projects, volunteer engagement, and community feedback. Quantitative measures include tracking the number of active volunteers, funds raised, and specific project outcomes, while qualitative assessments involve gathering feedback from the community and analyzing volunteer satisfaction. CiACT also evaluates the long-term sustainability of its initiatives, ensuring that they have lasting benefits. Through regular reporting and continuous reflection, CiACT remains committed to improving its efforts and achieving its mission of community betterment.
